This Meteor F.8 is represented in the markings of WF714 of No.500 Squadron RAF 1953. I think this scheme was chosen as there is a well known pic of that aircraft banking over the city of Valetta in Malta. I have no idea if the airframe under the paint has any link to that image. This is one of the schemes available in the 2022 Airfix new-tool Meteor kit. Spotted at Malta Aviation Museum in 2022.
